'Cognitive Bottlenecks in a Machine World'
Scroll story webpage, designed in Figma
This interactive scroll story explores how modern technology has outpaced the cognitive structures humans evolved to think with—posing novel psychological, philosophical, and systemic challenges. I used Figma to build a clean, responsive layout that balances narrative flow with editorial pacing. Custom illustrations and color-coded tiles were designed to create a cohesive visual language across both rectangular and square formats, matching tone and motif while accommodating distinct functional needs.
Each section of the story is visually anchored by minimalist, concept-driven illustrations I art-directed and iterated in alignment with the project’s themes: scaling laws, dopamine addiction, disconnection, and meaning collapse. Working in Figma allowed me to prototype smooth transitions, test narrative pacing, and establish a strong typographic rhythm across devices.
This project reflects my broader interest in using design not just to present ideas, but to structure thought—especially when navigating topics at the intersection of cognition, AI, and human meaning-making.
